In less than one year, Tyrol will welcome athletes from all over the world to participate at the 3rd Winter World Masters Games (WWMG 2020) in Innsbruck.
The WWMG are the world’s biggest winter sports festival for 30+ year olds. From 10th to 19thJanuary 2020 more than 3,000 athletes will gather in the provincial capital of Tyrol. Participants will compete over ten days, in twelve sports, including Alpine Skiing, Cross- Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined. The International Masters Games Association (IMGA), the representative body of sport masters worldwide, promotes competition, friendship and understanding between mature sportspeople, regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sport status.
From competitive athletes to passionate amateurs, everyone is welcome to take part in the WWMG 2020. Age is the only criteria for participation. A spectacular alpine setting, cultural highlights, a genuinely warm welcome and state-of-the-art venues are the ingredients for this unique winter sports festival.
The Organising Committee of Innsbruck-Tirol sports GmbH is already hard at work planning and preparing this unique event. In addition to the sports programme many social activities and cultural experiences await athletes and their companions.
