Ensuring that civil society can continue to engage and dialogue with World Bank and IMF remains a priority for the two institutions. Thus, in cooperation with the Civil Society Policy Forum (CSPF) Working Group, TWB is launching the call for proposals for a virtual CSPF to take place from September 27 – October 8 directly preceding the Annual Meetings (October 11 – 17, 2021) in the morning in Washington, D.C.
How to Apply: Submit your online proposal here by July 26, 2021 9:00 ET (Washington, D.C. time). To learn more about the Civil Society Policy Forum, click here.

Please Note: Due to the virtual nature of this year’s CSPF and the need to organize sessions at a reasonable time for participants in several time zones, the number of sessions we are able to accommodate will be limited. They will have space for roughly 10-18 sessions, and thus cannot guarantee that every proposal will be accepted. For this reason, they ask that each organization sponsor only one session. Proposals jointly sponsored with other CSOs – especially from different regions of the world – are highly encouraged.
Background: Each year, the WBG-IMF CSO teams launch a call for civil society to submit proposals for the CSPF. The WBG-IMF CSO teams review and select proposals with input from the CSPF CSO Working Group using the below criteria:1) Thematic relevance to international development and WBG, IMF and CSO priorities.2) Invites debate beyond the focus of one CSO or a single country.3) Contributes to a diverse and comprehensive forum.
The deadline to submit your proposals is Monday, July 26, 2021 by 9:00 AM ET (Washington, D.C. time).
